native-2024-review-and-2025-outlook
2024 marked our transformative journey with significant milestones in product development, partnerships, community engagement, and technical innovation. We focused our efforts on delivering a scalable, secure, and trust-minimized infrastructure for Bitcoin, making substantial progress toward making Bitcoin programmable and interoperable.
Until today, there is no decentralized, secure and efficient way to bridge or operate Bitcoin. Note: BitVM is permissioned, optimistic and not efficient.
We started our journey by researching how we can create a system that is able to operate Bitcoin without compromising on security or decentralization. Our goal was to create a system based on Zero Trust Architecture.
Zero Trust Architecture is a known security model that requires that no single party or intermediary is implicitly trusted. Instead, security is ensured through continuous authentication and verification of each transaction, without placing reliance on centralized entities or trusted intermediaries. Native presents a new solution to bring Bitcoin into DeFi securely by introducing Zero Trust Protocols (ZTPs).
Native’s Zero Trust Architecture positions Bitcoin to engage safely across blockchain networks, directly addressing the security challenges faced by bridges and wrapped tokens.
The next step was to establish a stack of protocols that will provide interoperability, liquidity services and security services based on the Zero Trust Architecture.
We established BLISS: The Bitcoin Liquidity, Interoperability, and Security Stack. It became a central part of our mission to deliver Bitcoin everywhere. We reached out to many innovative protocols that work on state of the art interoperability and security services to be part of BLISS stack. This Stack is made possible by partners such as Union (ZK-Modular Bridge), Avail (Data Availability) and Nuffle (Fast Finality).
With BLISS we can:
Finally, we looked at the users: Bitcoin holders. With BLISS we have immense possibilities. We want to focus on one key use case that can change the world and improve Bitcoin utility and user experience. We started BYield!
BYield is our end-user focused product, which aims to simplify the process of earning yield on Bitcoin, providing a unified dashboard for users to access diverse opportunities across Native L1, Bitcoin L2s, and other BLISS-Connected ecosystems.
Key features of BYield:
This product has positioned Native as a central hub for Bitcoin yield, attracting both retail and institutional participants.
December 2024 marked the launch of our first testnet!
This phase focused on validators and gave us valuable insights into the performance of our light client and relayer modules.
Our BD efforts in 2024 revolved around building strong partnerships, fostering meaningful relationships, and expanding the ecosystem to support the adoption of Bitcoin-native applications. Here’s a closer look at our accomplishments:

2024 was a big year for Native on the conference and events circuit. We focused on building relationships, showcasing our vision, and gathering insights to shape our future plans. Here’s a recap of the key events we attended and what they meant for Native:
Native’s Co-Founder, Siva, represented the team at the most prominent Bitcoin event of the year. This was a great opportunity to strengthen our presence in the Bitcoin space and make a strong first impression on the broader ecosystem.
At one of the largest crypto conferences of the year, we introduced Native to over 30 key players and investors, sparking interest in collaborative funding and ecosystem expansion. Notably, we connected with the Mina Protocol team to discuss the potential of using ZK technology for Bitcoin. What started as an exploration led to deep discussions on vision, developer experience, and usability. This laid the groundwork for experimenting with the idea of a ZK appchain for Bitcoin.
We engaged with over 40 DeFi projects and wallets, with discussions centered around BYield integrations and validator recruitment. This event was pivotal in expanding Native’s reach into the Ethereum ecosystem and exploring cross-chain opportunities.
Another key event in the Bitcoin calendar, where our Co-Founders engaged with multiple Bitcoin projects, sparking early-stage discussions for partnerships and expanding Native’s footprint in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
As a sponsor, we hosted a booth, delivered a keynote speech, and connected with over 50 developers and ecosystem leaders. Cosmoverse allowed us to showcase BLISS’s capabilities and explore potential integrations with Cosmos-based projects.
This event was all about relationship-building. We connected with Ethereum developers, zkRollup teams, and other key players, exploring ways to integrate BLISS into Ethereum ecosystems and foster long-term collaborations.
Closing out the year, we participated in strategic discussions on Bitcoin’s evolving role in DeFi. We connected with 20+ Bitcoin-focused companies and gained valuable insights for shaping our 2025 initiatives.
These events were instrumental in building partnerships, expanding awareness of Native, and gathering key feedback from industry leaders. Each connection, discussion, and idea brought us closer to our goal of unlocking Bitcoin’s full potential in DeFi.
Differentiated Native from competitors like BitVM2 by emphasizing:
The development of our GTM Strategy went through multiple iterations, as 2024 was a year of many narrative changes, but one thing stuck in mind, the need for Interoperability in the Bitcoin Space is growing by day. So our goal was focused on delivering what’s needed in the space. It started in 2024 and will be achieved in 2025, by bringing liquidity and interoperability to multiple ecosystems.
2025 is set to be a defining year for Native as we take the foundational work of 2024 and scale it into a fully realized ecosystem. This year is about activating everything we’ve built—BLISS, BYield, and the Native Smart Contract Layer—and creating real value for developers, Bitcoin holders, and the broader DeFi community.
Here’s what’s on the horizon:
Timeline: Q2 2025
The Native mainnet will go live this year, bringing our Zero Trust Architecture to full production. This marks the moment when Bitcoin holders and developers can truly experience what we’ve been working toward:
Goal: Establish BLISS as the standard for Bitcoin liquidity and interoperability.
The BLISS Stack will fully activate in 2025, enabling:
Focus: Make BYield the go-to platform for Bitcoin yield.
In 2025, we’ll enhance BYield to attract even more Bitcoin holders by:
Focus: Empower developers to build Bitcoin-native dApps.
The Native Smart Contract Layer will become the hub for Bitcoin-based applications, with:
Focus: Build partnerships and strengthen community engagement.
In 2025, we’re doubling down on ecosystem growth with:
Goal: Showcase how Native solves real problems for Bitcoin and DeFi.
This year, we’ll focus on applying our technology to tangible use cases, including:
Goal: Make Native a household name in the crypto space.
We’ll measure our success with key metrics:
2024 was a year of building, refining, and laying the groundwork for everything we’re about to achieve. From launching the testnet and growing BYield narrative to expanding partnerships and solidifying the BLISS Stack. We focused on creating a strong foundation for Native’s vision. Every milestone this year brought us closer to unlocking Bitcoin’s full potential in DeFi.
As we look to 2025, the stage is set for transformation. This is the year where the foundation we built comes to life. With the mainnet launch, full deployment of BLISS, and the expansion of BYield and the Native Smart Contract Layer, we’ll be scaling everything—technology, partnerships, and adoption.
2025 isn’t just about launching features; it’s about delivering real value to Bitcoin holders, developers, and the broader ecosystem. Together, we’ll make Bitcoin seamlessly programmable, interoperable, and accessible in ways the world hasn’t seen before.
Thank you for being part of this journey—we couldn’t have done 2024 without your support, and we’re excited to achieve even greater things together in 2025.
